Koke Gardens is a local plant business in Dallas, Texas. The business creates "kokedamas," a Japanese art form in which the roots of the plants are wrapped in a ball of moss creating a poor man's bonsai.
While keeping the original business' beliefs and values, I aimed towards updating the brand's logo.
Image Logo Rebranding Options
With the image logo, I wanted to focus on creating the form of a kokedama. the plant shape is based off of a money tree which is believed to bring you good luck and fortune when kept healthy.

With the type logo, the original logo was very rounded. When updating the type, I aimed towards keeping the form with very rounded shapes to reflect the spherical shape of the moss ball. On the letters K and G, the rounded curves give the letterforms an organic feel, similar to the growth of plants.
