I chose to use the song Flowers by Iyla as the focus for my booklet. The song discusses the concept of apologies though the use of giving flowers.
I wanted to show a narrative of an ugly argument in which you receive apology flowers. The booklet starts out with a fresh bouquet of flowers. Through the panels, the flowers becomes more messy and destructive until finally all of the emotions stop, leaving you numb. Similarly, the text reflects that of a love letter which increasingly becomes sloppy with a mixture of anger and sadness.
